About Kelsey

Kelsey, a native of California, begain dance training at the age of 3 years old, ranging from ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip hop, pointe, musical theatre, and tumbling. She trained at Saddleback Dance Center, DNA the Dance lab, and Focus Dance Center, and also spent summers in LA at The Debbie Allen Dance Academy training under Ms. Allen's world-class faculty. She attended the Orange County High School of the Arts and was in the Commerical Dance department.

In 2008, Kelsey moved to the windy city to pursue a higher education and further her training in musical theatre, acting, and dance. She studied under the incredible faculty at the Chicago College of the Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and graduated in 2012 with a BFA in Musical Theatre and minor in Psychology.

Kelsey was first introduced to Pilates through her dance training. Later on in 2010, she started training with her mentor Linda Silbert (Core Dynamics Certified under Michele Larson) more seriously and found a new love for Pilates. She loved the mind-body connection she found in Pilates and loved the similarities to dance that Joseph Pilates created in his movements. She wanted to find a form of exercise that would lengthen and tone her muscles and not bulk them up-she found exactly what she wanted in Pilates. In 2013, Kelsey recieved her  Pilates certification through Fitness Formula Club (FFC) under the direction of Liv Berger. She is a Pilates trainer fully certified in Power Pilates, on mat and all apparatus.

Kelsey currently teaches in NYC and Virtually and loves working with a wide range of clients that include working with people rehabilitating from an injury to people wanting to tone and create the best version of themselves through Pilates.
