Personalized Sessions

Private Pilates sessions are hand tailored to fit your specific needs. Every session is unique to your goals, what you want to work on, and what your body needs that day. No two sessions are the same. Exercises are carefully chosen and clients are thoughtfully and purposefully progressed forward over the course of multiple sessions.

Your full body studio session workout will include exercises utilizing all the spring loaded Pilates equipment including the Reformer, Wunda Chair, High Chair, Cadillac, Barrel, and JumpBoard. Your full body mat session (virtual, in-home, or in-office) will include a variety of pilates mat exercises perfect for any level designed to allow you to improve strength, flexibility, posture, balance, and core strength utilizing minimal exercise props.

Sessions take place at a private studio in NYC (Flatiron), Virtually, In-Home, & In-Office. Duet Sessions (2 people) and Semi-Privates (3 people or more) are available for all session types.  All Private, Duet, and Semi-Private sessions (studio, virtual, in-home, in-office) are 50 minutes.

The personal attention of a private session gives you the best opportunity to attain your goals and maximize your workout when and wherever you want.

What makes my sessions different?

Beyond my fully comprehensive pilates training and yearly continuing education, I bring over a decade of experience in teaching Pilates to all kinds of people with various needs and goals. Sessions with me are truly personalized with your goals always in mind. All clients do not do the same sessions every day because everyone has different physical needs and goals! I meet you where you are at currently and help you see and realize what you’re capable of. You can expect a genuinely positive, honest, caring, encouraging, and fun teaching style in my sessions.

What I believe stands out most though, is that I bring a different level of care—a deeper level of care—to my clients and our sessions. In our work together you can know that I connect, listen, and take you and your goals and needs seriously. I am truly committed to my clients and helping them physically be able to do what they want in life for however long they want to do it. If I don’t have the answer to something, I am the first to find and connect you with a vetted person who does! You gain a genuine coach and cheerleader when working with me. My clients physical wins are my wins-all wins big and small. I also can say you will have fun and perhaps laugh pretty often (or so my clients say!)!

Your Questions, Answered

  • All forms of Pilates sessions are low-impact, with high results. Pilates Mat sessions are the foundation of the Pilates method. Mat exercises utilize body weight and gravity versus springs and machine-tension in the studio. Additional minimal exercise props (pilates circle, resistance bands, stretching strap, yoga block, exercise ball, light hand weights) are often used to assist and add progression to mat exercises based on the clients needs. Mat work helps to develop strength, coordination, mind-body connection, flexibility, mobility, and control. Studio sessions utilize the spring loaded equipment and all exercises build upon the work that is learned on the mat. The two sessions go hand in hand for a truly full and well rounded fitness experience.

  • I’ve helped many clients achieve their goals, some selected goals include:

-gaining overall strength and better physical fitness and feeling happy and proud in their body

-finally not having debilitating back pain and gaining a deeper understanding of their bodies and how to maintain it.

-gaining a stronger core connection so that they can lift more in the gym-confidently and safely!

-increasing their balance and feeling more confident on their feet while walking through uneven surfaces

-cross training for the NYC Marathon and completing it without injury!

-being able to focus on themselves for an hour a week. Being able to connect to their breath and reducing stress levels greatly.

-preparing their body to welcome a baby and get through the strenuous act of labor and recovery

-feeling stronger, lighter, more connected and agile while dancing!

-regaining strength and mobility post-wrist/arm surgery-they’re now doing consistent push ups easily!

-gaining more definition and feeling confident and fabulous before their wedding

  • Definitely! In my comprehensive pilates training program, we were fully trained to work with people of all physical histories and needs. From back problems, knee, shoulder, ankle, balance issues, post surgical (and post physical therapy!) hip replacements, wrist/hand issues-I was trained to work with everyone. My yearly continuing education additionally keeps me on my toes in being able to help everyone with various needs.

Upon initially talking with you about your goals, physical needs, and wanting to try a session, if I feel like your needs are better suited to working with a Physical Therapist, I will recommend that and give you the name of an amazing PT.

  • Absolutely! I am pre/post natal certified and have over 10 years of consistent experience working with pregnant clients pre-baby, during pregnancy, and post-baby! It brings me such joy getting to help new parents feel confident, stronger, and less in pain during their pregnancies.

It is recommended typically that clients have some experience with Pilates (or any form of exercise) pre-pregnancy before starting any exercise during a pregnancy.

  • In the studio, you can bring a water bottle, a hand towel (if you’d like), and yourself! Sticky socks are often helpful, but not required. For virtual sessions, a yoga mat is needed and I will discuss with you what small exercise props you have before the start of our first session.
